A Birthday Treat

My good friend Ickhoy wanted to treat us out for our birthday since he wasn't able to attend our pool party last Sunday. We're big fans of Locavore (pun intended) because the food there is seriously rich, sumptuous, and delicious!

(note: not a sponsored post)

We only waited for 4 minutes to be seated! YAY!!! This place doesn't accept reservations and can get packed during dinner time. I remember being 12th in line once and still choosing to waiting it out because their food is so worth it! Just like your love... (LELS)

Dreaming of lechon and oyster sisig (LELS)

Ickhoy ordered our favorites: lechon and oyster sisig, gising-gising, sugpo con mayonesa and his favorite, Mac's boneless fried chicken. It was my first time to try it and instantly, I forgot about the other dishes for a few minutes!!! Nag-zone in ako ro'n!

The night was full of laughter and love as we poured out our lives to one another in stories and anecdotes. Ickhoy's been such a huge part of my spiritual life ever since we got close a couple of years back. He leads and pastors the singles ministry in CCF, my church, and we were introduced when we attended B1G 10, their annual retreat. The rest was history.

To my boss, Ix—
Thank you for being a spiritual dad to me and my sister. You know we have no male role models growing up, and you always being there for us is a gift. Your constant presence is so comforting to me, and knowing that I can run to you for anything is beyond me. Thank you for this friendship. It is a testament that where something is lacking, God's grace abounds.

Your joyfulness and love for Jesus push me to be a better follower of Christ, and your sincerity and authenticity in your relationships are so beautiful and refreshing. I'm so honored to serve in ministry with you and be considered your friend; I learn so much about productive and purposeful singleness through you.

Love you, bossing!!!
