To my God, my Creator, my Father—

You are the very air in my lungs, the very soul in my fleshy shell, the very blood running through my veins. I am nothing without You. Everything I am is because of You and for You. You know me full well, even the number of my hairs is in written on the palm of your hand. You are a good, good Father. You have provided for me and have given me more than I will ever want and need. My being overflows with gratitude and love. I am not worthy. I do not understand why You chose me to be Yours, but it is a gift and privilege I will treasure up until my last breath.

To my mother—

The universe was on my side when God Almighty decided to choose you as the instrument to give us life. You have sacrificed so much for our own comfort. You have given us so much of yourself, and I see Jesus in that. I am eternally grateful for your strength. I know it was hell to be 16, alone, and pregnant during the early 90s. Society wasn't as forgiving, and the struggle was intensely real. Yet, you chose to bear two humans from your womb, and I can never express my gratitude and love enough. You have enveloped our existence with so much kindness and generosity, sometimes, I cannot help but question if I deserve your goodness. I thank you for doing your best, even if there are moments I do not understand your methods. You are so beautiful and fiercely strong. I love you.

To my friends—

You are gifts from Heaven and you make my life colorful and bright. You have sharpened me in so many ways, and I am beyond blessed that God has allowed our paths to cross, making the tread extra exciting and a whole lot of fun. Your generosity with your wisdom has allowed me to grow vastly in different aspects of my life. I am proud to be called your friend. You all have contributed to the woman I am today, and I can never express my love and gratitude enough. Having you in my life has lifted my soul to great heights. I know I can be difficult and arrogant, but you gently tug on my cloak of ego and pull me back to the ground. I need that. I really do. Thank you for loving me like a sister, for treating me like family, for loving me enough to correct me and rebuke me so I become a better human being. You are all God's gifts to me, and I feel His hugs and kisses through each and everyone of you.
